I can’t really agree with this. We are not punished for mistakes, we are shown we made a mistake by having a consequence for making it.
How would you teach someone they are wrong? Wait and hope they discover it?
Embrace the consequences and never stop making mistakes. Ever. You have to know you are wrong before you can try again (and again and again.)
