Time. Just like any scar, time will do its part in healing and hiding stretch marks.
Don’t waste your money on creams, they are a joke.
Dermarollers can help, since they stimulate blood flow which aids in the healing process.
Exfoliation with a loofa may help promote skin growth, but there’s not much science to back that up. Mostly you’re just sloughing away dead cells… you’d need to actually start damaging the healthy cells to get that new skin production.
While I have my feet firmly planted in the ground when I say Acai berries do NOT have any sort of miracle weight loss effects, they have actually helped many people with their skin by reducing redness and breakouts… may be helpful.
Vit E probably wouldn’t be bad either. Use it as a rub and take it orally. You could buy separate items for this, but if your stretch marks are localized, you can just pinch open a Vit E capsule and squeeze it out and massage it in.
Take a stroll down the baby aisle in the market/pharmacy and look at some of the creams they have for pregnant women. Will the creams work? I cannot say, but that would be a great place to start researching! Just write down brands (or photo them) and look them up when you get home for reviews. Make sure NOT to use the brand site… they never talk bad about themselves. ;)
Keep in mind, this is not any kind of personal experience talking. I am ridiculously lazy about skin care. It’s pretty much a matter of “am I clean and do I need sunscreen?” That’s the end of my daily skin routine. Lame, I know. I make a terrible girly girl.
Cheers,
~Bonnie
