It’s hard to make any claims for fitness and my sex drive, as I have never been lacking in that department.
Overall, I think my dedication level is very much tied to my military service. I don’t think I could have committed to fitness and nutrition for the long term otherwise. I used to have major issues with follow through. Diving in headfirst has never been a problem, but sticking with things has. I’ve had my stumbles (this summer was one big face-plant in the dirt) but I won’t walk away from it. My knowledge has grown exponentially and I never expected to fall in love with the lifestyle the way I have.
I think one of the things that surprised me most was how many of my friends I managed to drag into it with me. I had someone tell me once that if I was a super hero, my power would be that of persuasion. I like to think I use my powers for good. ;)
My main focus for improvement now is just getting myself back to where I was before I crashed and burned this summer (and then surpassing it.) I’ve been back to better eating for a while now and I’m back to exercising every day again. It shouldn’t be long before I start to lean out again.
Thanks for the interesting question!! :D
Cheers,
~Bonnie
