The term “Tone/toning” can be used as a fitness question. It just depends who understands it. For ex. your tumblr is “motivationforfitness” so the person who was asking the question, clearly was using the correct term.
I know what it’s (incorrectly) used for. The word “tone” (in reference to fitness) is a gimmick used to help carry forward the notion that lifting/strength training is a scary thing meant for bodybuilders; that it will make you vascular and massive. That “toning” is gentle, not scary, “high reps with low weight” and a bunch of other shenanigans that I outright refuse to subscribe to.
That word should have died in the 80’s… just like sparkly spandex.
